These terms cover two things: using this website, and buying a product or plan from Jamir Labs (“we” or “us”). When a business buys from us, “you” means that business.

What we offer

Managed websites

We build fast websites for local businesses and schools, then keep them up to date on a monthly care plan. What a care plan covers, and what it leaves out, is on our websites page.

Reception

Reception, our WhatsApp assistant, is in development. Apart from how it is cancelled (see ending a plan below), these terms do not cover it yet. Its own terms will be added here before any business starts using it. [[TODO: Reception’s terms, before any business uses it]]

Quotes and prices

We do not list prices on this website. Every business is different, so we give you a price after talking it through with you. [[TODO: confirm that every client gets a written quote, and what it includes]]

If a quote or a signed agreement with you says something different from these terms, the quote or agreement applies.

Third-party costs, such as domain names and WhatsApp messaging fees, are passed on at cost, with no markup.

Paying us

What you own

Your domain, accounts and data are registered in your name, so they stay yours. The words, photos and logos you give us for your website stay yours too. You allow us to use them to build and run your website.

What we ask of you

• Give us accurate information about your business, and tell us when it changes.
• Only send us words, photos and logos that you have the right to use.
• Use your website, and anything else we make for you, lawfully.

Changes on a care plan

On a care plan, we make small changes within two working days. New sections or features are quoted separately. [[TODO: what counts as a small change]]

Ending a plan

The rules are different for our two products:

• A website care plan: either side can end it with 30 days’ notice, and unused whole months are refunded.
• Reception, once it is offered: you can cancel at any time, with no notice period. It keeps running until the end of the month you have already paid for, then stops, and part of a month is not refunded.

If we are the ones who end a plan, of either kind, we also refund the unused days you paid for.

What we cannot promise

• We look after your website, but we cannot promise it will never go down. Hosting, domain registrars, email, WhatsApp and the other services we rely on are run by other companies, and their outages are outside our control.
• The information on this website is general. It is not advice for your business, and it may change.
• The phone conversations on this website are illustrations with fictional businesses. They show how Reception is designed to work, not a service you can use today.

Limits on our liability

As far as the law allows, our total liability to you for anything arising from our work for you is limited to the fees you paid us in the [[TODO: period, for example three months]] before the claim. We are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost bookings or lost income. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that Indian law does not allow us to limit.

Changes to these terms
